Brainchild

Brainchild is a show that focuses on teaching kids about science. Each episode explores a different scientific concept and is designed to help kids understand the world around them. The show is hosted by a child genius and uses a blend of animation, interviews, and experiments to help explain the scientific concepts. The only con of this show is there hasn’t been any new episodes in awhile. This is disappointing because my kids love this one!

The Magic School Bus Rides Again

The Magic School Bus Rides Again is a reboot of the classic educational show about science. The show follows a group of students as they explore different scientific concepts and learn about the world around them.

The Magic School Bus Rides Again is great for homeschoolers because it can help them understand difficult scientific concepts in an entertaining way. If you Google Magic School Bus lessons, there are a ton of lessons already made that can go along with the episodes of this show. You can also get the books to go along with the lessons and shows!

Explained is a show that focuses on teaching about a variety of different topics. Each episode explores a different topic and is designed to help people understand the world around them. Some examples of the topics are eSports, water crisis, meat, pandemics, and chess. I recommend viewing this one before children because some episodes are more mature than others. We have watched a few and find them quite interesting. Again, these episodes are great conversation starters.

The Who Was? Show

The Who Was? Show is a show about history. Each episode explores a different historical figure and is designed to help kids understand the world around them. The show uses a blend of animation, music-like fun rap battles, and acting to help explain the historical concepts.

The Who Was? Show is great for homeschoolers because it is a hands off way to introduce historical people to our kids. This show is a great starting point to have some educated discussions with our children. The show is comical and educational, it held my children’s attention longer than some other historical shows have.

Ask the StoryBots

Ask the StoryBots is a super cute show with catchy songs and fun characters.. The show follows a group of robots as they explore different topics and help kids understand the world around them. Typically they are answering a question that was sent in from a child and they play that video.

There is a new episode out that even my 9 year old is excited about!

Down to Earth with Zac Efron

My daughter loves this show. She likes that it tells her cool facts and mentions things like the zombie mushroom. It is about Zac Efron going around the world showing us sustainable ways to live. It provides good information and great conversation starters.

Absurd Planet

This is a fun show about our world and living things inside our world. The show is narrated by Mother Earth, who has a silly personality. It is quite entertaining and informational. My 10 year old liked this one more than the younger kiddos but they still watched some.
